I have two loves, history and books.  This blog is about the books I have enjoyed reading. I like to vary the genres but I’m not keen on horror or vampires.

After 35 years as a primary school teacher and school librarian, I am even busier now I’ve retired. A few years ago, my husband and I bought a holiday home in the Algarve where we spend several weeks each spring and autumn. This gives me the opportunity to read and review more books, at least until my children and grandchildren come to stay!
